The SKNNNCC Unveils Major Prize Package for Senion Calypso Monarch and Miss SKN Queen for milestone anniversary of Carnival
The SKNNCC is pleased to announce a major prize package for the 2026–2027 Senior Calypso Monarch and Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Queen, as the Federation prepares to celebrate an extraordinary milestone, 55 years of National Carnival, Senior Calypso and the Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Queen Pageant.
The winners of the Senior Calypso Monarch Competition and the Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Queen Pageant will each receive an impressive grand prize package featuring land, EC$20,000 in cash, and additional prizes.
Chairwoman of the St. Kitts and Nevis National Carnival Committee, Shannon Hawley, said the enhanced prize package specifically for these two long-standing national competitions, reflects the Committee’s desire to recognize excellence while commemorating the significance of the 55th anniversary.
“As we celebrate 55 years, we wanted this milestone to be reflected not only in the quality of our events, but also in how we recognize the extraordinary talent, discipline and commitment of the people who make Carnival what it is,” Hawley said. “Our Senior Calypso Monarch and Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Queen represent two of the longest-standing and most prestigious competitions of National Carnival, and we believe their prizes this year should reflect the stature of those titles.”
The Senior Calypso competition remains one of the Federation’s premier platforms for social commentary, storytelling, wit and musical expression, while the Miss St. Kitts and Nevis Queen Pageant continues its longstanding tradition of showcasing the intelligence, talent, confidence, culture and grace of the Federation’s young women.
The National Carnival Committee invites the public, returning nationals, visitors and Carnival enthusiasts throughout the region and diaspora to join St. Kitts and Nevis for what promises to be a memorable 55th anniversary celebration.
